Annual day celebrations at Sujanpur Tira Sainik School in Hamirpur

The Sainik School, Sujanpur Tira, celebrated its 47th annual day at Sujanpur near here on Friday. Pankaj Chadha, Divisional Manager of Himachal Road Transport Corporation, who was the chief guest on the occasion, said the contribution of teachers and heads of the school had made this institution one of the best Sainik Schools of the country. He said it was a matter of pride that the school had produced over 470 commissioned officers for Indian Defence services, who were serving for the country.

He said young cadets were the future of the nation and they should strive for the best through hard work, dedication and should inculcate high moral values. He said cadets should build them to the best of their abilities so that they could do best in their service.

Lt Col Rajinder Singh, administrative officer of the school, and Cdr Sandeep Singh Virk, vice-principal, informed him about the achievements of the school on the occasion.

Students participated in cultural programmes such as Bhangra, Dogri and Nati that mesmerised the gathering. The chief guest awarded the trophies to cadets for their achievements in various disciplines on the occasion.
