Anurag attacking Rahul to please PM Modi: Theog MLA

AICC spokesperson Kuldeep Rathore today said that the BJP had now handed over the task of attacking the Gandhi family in Parliament to Hamirpur MP Anurag Thakur.
“Earlier, the BJP had assigned this job to Smriti Irani,” said Rathore, who is also MLA from the Theog Assembly constituency.
The use of an indecent language against Rahul Gandhi was unacceptable, said Rathore while taking a dig at Anurag. “We understand his frustration and compulsion. He was expecting a ministerial berth but was ignored. He’s targeting Rahul Gandhi to please Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he alleged.
Rathore said that the Prime Minister’s tweet applauding Anurag for his speech was unfortunate. “It is not acceptable and the Congress condemns both the BJP and Anurag for making such a speech,” he added.
Rathore said such attacks on Rahul Gandhi were the result of his growing popularity. “He is raising the issues of Dalits and other backward classes in Parliament, which has rattled the BJP. The ruling party is trying hard to suppress his voice by editing his speeches and through other means,” he added.
