APG varsity law students visit Lok Adalat in Shimla

Students of School of Legal Studies and Research, APG Shimla University, witnessed the operations of Lok Adalats during their visit to National Lok Adalat at the District Court in Shimla. The visit was guided by Assistant Professors Monika Thakur and Akshita Sharma.

During the visit, students got insights about how legal disputes are settled quickly and peacefully without long court cases. They also got a chance to interact with legal professionals. Professors stated that the purpose of the visit was to give students a real-life experience and help them understand the legal system better. Such visits help students connect classroom learning with practical knowledge.

Additionally, students from the fifth semester of Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT) and Bachelor in Radiography (BRG) at APG Shimla University recently took part in a practical learning experience at Atulaya Healthcare Private Limited, one of North India’s leading diagnostic and imaging centers.

During the visit, students had the chance to see how modern diagnostic labs and imaging departments work in real life. They learned about the latest technologies used in medical testing, radiographic imaging, patient care and lab safety procedures.

This real-world exposure is a key part of the university’s approach to education. By working alongside experienced healthcare professionals and using advanced medical equipment, students gained important skills, built confidence, and deepened their understanding of how the healthcare system operates.

A faculty member from the University said, “These kinds of experiences help our students connect what they learn in the classroom with real healthcare situations. It prepares them to become skilled and confident professionals.”
