Chamba, July 31
The Department of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs of the state has announced the allocation of fair price shops in Bakloh village and the Bakloh Cantonment bazar in Bhattiyat Development Block and Siraina village in Mehla Development Block. Interested individuals and organisations can apply by August 8.
District Controller of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Purushottam Singh said public institutions or bodies such as gram panchayats, self-help groups, cooperative societies, women-operated groups, single women, widows supporting their children, physically-challenged individuals capable of managing the shop, ex-servicemen, educated, unemployed individuals with no family members in regular employment and applicants from Himachal Pradesh Rajya Civil Supplies Corporation could apply for the allocation of shops. The applicant must be aged between 18 and 45, and should possess a matriculation certificate.
Applicants must upload self-attested copies of the matric certificate, financial status documents, a certificate stating that the applicant or any family member is not in regular employment (for ex-servicemen/educated unemployed), documents regarding the shop’s availability and storage capacity, and an unemployment certificate. The applications without these documents will be rejected.
Additional documents include higher educational qualification certificates, BPL/SC/OBC/ST certificates, ex-serviceman certificates, disability certificates, proof of residence in the same ward, where the shop is proposed and the documents related to widow/single woman status. If case of an organisation, the vendor concerned must hold a matric certificate. — OC
