As per a government spokesperson, efforts to provide quality education have yielded impressive results, with Himachal ranking 5th in the latest National Achievement Survey (NAS) 2025, a remarkable jump from 21st rank in 2021.

He further said that several other initiatives have been taken in the education sector like English medium teaching from Class 1 in all government-run schools to improve language skills, signing of a historic agreement with Singapore's Principals Academy to provide world-class training to teachers. Besides, the government is setting up Rajiv Gandhi Government Model Day-Boarding Schools in every Assembly constituency, equipped with modern technologies, smart classrooms, libraries and sports facilities.
