He further said that several other initiatives have been taken in the education sector like English medium teaching from Class 1 in all government-run schools to improve language skills, signing of a historic agreement with Singapore's Principals Academy to provide world-class training to teachers. Besides, the government is setting up Rajiv Gandhi Government Model Day-Boarding Schools in every Assembly constituency, equipped with modern technologies, smart classrooms, libraries and sports facilities.

He further said that Himachal has stood among the best-performing states in India on most indicators of school education. “The Annual Status of Education Report (ASER) 2025 rated Himachal's children as having the best reading levels in the entire country,” he said. Also, he said, over 850 schools have been declared as Institutes of Excellence with sufficient teachers, good infrastructure, laboratories, and other necessary resources.
