Mandi, July 5
Ayush, Youth Services and Sports Minister Yadvinder Goma inaugurated the National Ashwagandha campaign at the Research Institute of Indian Medicine System at Jogindernagar in Mandi district. It’s a step marking a significant initiative to promote traditional Indian medicine and enhance public health awareness.
The campaign aims to distribute two lakh ashwagandha saplings across ten districts with rising temperatures, facilitated by District Ayush Officers. The initiative seeks to educate farmers and the public about the medicinal properties of ashwagandha, encouraging its integration into local agriculture.
The campaign coincided with the introduction of the National Programme for Prevention and Management of Osteoarthritis and other Musculoskeletal Disorders, alongside the Vayu Mitra Yojana, at the Ayush Circle Hospital in Jogindernagar.
