Award ceremony recognises Hamirpur’s high-achieving girls

The district child development project office organised an award ceremony under the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ scheme to honour girls in the district who have achieved success in various fields.

A Senior Congress leader, Dr Pushpendra Verma, presented awards to the girls. Addressing the gathering, he said their achievements were the result of dedication, hard work, tireless effort and determination. He added they should continue striving for further success. Verma also urged officials of the women and child development department to hold such ceremonies regularly to inspire and encourage talented daughters.

Earlier, child development project officer Sunita Sharma gave a detailed overview of the department’s programmes and schemes. She said determination and self-confidence were essential to achieving excellence in life. She added while life has its ups and downs, one should continue working towards higher goals.
