The minister flagged off vehicles to restore traffic on the bridge. “Dealing with disasters is a collective responsibility of all of us. For this, we will have to work above party politics,” he said.

On this occasion, Vikramaditya Singh congratulated the officials of the PWD and other departments for restoring various services within the stipulated time.

He assured people that relief work would be done speedily in Baghipul, Samej and other disaster-affected areas. The proposed bridges at Kedas and other places would be constructed in a time-bound manner. He said the Bailey bridge would ensure that apple reached the market in time.

The bridge was built at an approximate cost of Rs 2.50 crore. It will connect people of dozens of panchayats to the Nirmand area, the minister said.
