Baisakhi fair at be organised at Kaleshwar from April 12 to 14
State level Baisakhi fair will be organised at the historic Kaleshwar from April 12 to 14. This information was given by SDM Shilpi Beakta while presiding over a meeting organised regarding the preparations of the fair.
She stated that cultural programmes would be organized for three days for the entertainment of the people. In this, folk artists, women’s groups and school children will be given a special opportunity. Apart from this, swings etc. will be installed for children in the fair so that everyone can enjoy it to the fullest.
The SDM said that Baisakhi fair is one of the most prominent festivals of the region and people from Kangra, Hamirpur, Una district also come to it. She said that various committees have also been formed by the administration to ensure that all the arrangements are perfect during the fair. According to her all arrangements are being made to ensure that Baisakhi fair is organised duly according to tradition.
Shilpi stated that officials of the Public Works Department, Jal Shakti Department, Electricity Board, Youth Services and Sports Department along with Language and Culture Department have been included in the fair committee. Apart from this, keeping in mind the participation of local people, non-government members would also be included in the organisation of the fair.
