Over the past 24 hours, normal monsoon activity was recorded in the state. Light to moderate rain was observed at a few places and heavy rain was witnessed at isolated places. The maximum rain was recorded in Mandi district, followed by Kangra district. Over 500 roads are still blocked in various parts of the state. The maximum number of 174 roads are obstructed in Kullu district, followed by 133 in Mandi. Around 953 power distribution transformers (539 in Kullu and 250 in Mandi) are yet to be restored.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner, Kinnaur, has revoked the order to completely stop traffic movement at night at the landslide-prone points at Nigulsari and Nathpa. The order has been withdrawn following improvement in weather. Besides, the Deputy Commissioner has also directed truck drivers to limit vehicle load to 400 apple boxes due to the poor and fragile road conditions at the sliding point at Nigulsari. Any truck not adhering to the orders could be fined and may not even be allowed to cross the point.
