Heavy polling was registered in 274 panchayats of Kangra district today.

Barring an incident at Kenuara village in the Thural area, the polling was peaceful. Sources said that the village name of the candidate contesting the Block Development Committee (BDC) election at Kenuara was missing from the ballot paper. The election was countermanded.

Though the district administration allowed voters to go to the polling stations after thermal scanning, the latter totally ignored the Covid protocol outside the stations.
