Dharamsala, March 5
Members of the England cricket team are in the town to play the last Test match against India at the HPCA Stadium here on March 7. Before the Test match, the English players were seen enjoying and exploring the beauty of Dharamsala, nestled in the lap of the Dhauladhar mountains, which are covered in a thick blanket of snow these days.
Yesterday, the practice session was suspended and the players preferred to explore local areas. The members of the English team, who are staying in Radisson Blu, started their day with jogging from the hotel to Thathri village near Khanyara.
Instead of using the swimming pool in the hotel, they preferred the crystal clear water of the Manjhi river.
Later in the day, the players and their support staff visited nearby places in McLeodganj and Bhagsunath. For security reasons, the players’ itinerary was kept secret. Moreover, supporters of the England team are also exploring various locations in the town.
The British players are taking to social media to upload their photos and videos, highlighting the scenic beauty of the town. Experts in the hospitality sector believe that their videos showcasing the beauty of the town and surrounding mountains may prove to be a blessing for tourism.
