The temple management committee took the opportunity to educate the visitors about the temple’s historical significance. Located within the Nurpur Fort, a protected monument under the Archeological Survey of India (ASI), the temple holds special importance. It is the only known temple in the world where an idol of Meera, the revered disciple of Lord Krishna, is worshipped alongside the deity.
