‘Best Vocational Trainer’ award for Nagwain teacher
Pallavi Sharma, a vocational teacher at Government Senior Secondary School, Nagwain, has brought immense pride to her institution and the region by receiving the Best Vocational Trainer Award at a prestigious state-level conference held in Palampur.
The award was presented during the Annual State Conference on the Role of Skill Development, Financial Inclusion and Social Entrepreneurship in Building India-2025, organised by AISECT. Hosted at a private hotel, the event celebrated educators who have made outstanding contributions to vocational training and skill development in Himachal Pradesh.
Sharma was recognised for her unwavering commitment to empowering students with practical, employable skills, helping many secure meaningful careers and financial independence. Her efforts have especially benefited youth in rural areas, opening doors to skilled trades and service-based opportunities.
Upon her return, Government Senior Secondary School, Nagwain, marked the occasion with a celebratory event. Vice-Principal Nisha Parmar, along with faculty members, including Bharti Gupta, Vocational Coordinator Veena Kumari, and the School Management Committee, felicitated Sharma with a certificate of appreciation and a symbolic token of honour.
In her remarks, Sharma expressed heartfelt gratitude to her mentors, colleagues and especially AISECT Coordinator Ashish Sohar, Shaili Kohli, and Sunil Kumar for their unwavering support throughout her journey.
