Bhaleyi-Koti road blocked due to landslide in Himachal’s Chamba
Shimla, August 2
Bhaleyi-Koti road in Salooni subdivision of Chamba district in was blocked for vehicular traffic following a massive landslide near Koti Bridge, on Tuesday evening.
No loss of life was reported.
Commuters saw shooting stones coming from the mountain and stopped their vehicles before the slide spot. Videos of landslide have gone viral on social media. The restoration work is under progress, but the road is still closed for traffic.
As many as 36 roads, including 29 in Kullu, six each in Mandi and Solan, two in Lahaul and Spiti and one each in Chamba and Kangra district, are closed in Himachal due to rain-related incidents. As many as 117 transformers and 20 water supply schemes are disrupted.
