Bihar victory validation of good governance, development: BJP

Crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for the NDA’s spectacular victory, BJP leaders today said the poll outcome is a validation of the good governance and development.

Participating in the celebrations on the occasion of NDA sweeping the Bihar assembly elections, Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur said the mandate has proved beyond doubt that the people of the country cannot be swayed by lies, deception and fraud of the Congress and the RJD.

“Prime Minister has redefined pro-incumbency in Indian politics. The public's strong support for him, even after 20 years, demonstrates that the country accepts Modi's policies and leadership,” said the Leader of Opposition.

Thakur said that the people of the country and Bihar have rejected the negative, socially divisive and disruptive thinking of Rahul Gandhi and the Congress alliance outright. “The results clearly show that public can no longer be deceived by lies, populist slogans or false guarantees which Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu tried to do during campaigning in Bihar,” he said.

State BJP president Rajeev Bindal said people of Bihar have put their stamp of approval on the governance model of the BJP-JDU in Bihar which has helped the state surge on the path of development. “The Congress too is bound to meet the same fate in the 2025 assembly polls in Himachal for making false guarantees,” Bindal said.
