In a head-on collision between a speeding bike and a privately operated bus, one of the two bike-borne persons lost his life while one bore serious injuries, near Gondpur Chowk at Paonta Sahib today.

After being administered first aid, the injured youth was referred from Paonta Sahib Civil Hospital to a higher medical centre for further treatment.

Ashok Chauhan, in-charge of Paonta Sahib police station said both the bike-borne individuals were yet to be identified as the bike did not have a registration number. He added that a case had been registered for negligent driving and an investigation was ongoing to ascertain which party was at fault.
