BJP former MP’s son booked on rape charge in Solan
A dentist by profession, the accused allegedly committed crime on the pretext of marrying the woman
The son of former BJP Member of Parliament (MP) Virender Kashyap has been booked for allegedly raping a woman on the pretext of marrying her in Solan district. The accused has been identified as Dr Brijeshwar Kashyap, a dentist by profession.
The police received a complaint from a woman who alleged that Dr Brijeshwar, who runs a dental clinic in Solan, had made physical relations with her by luring her on the pretext of marrying her. The complainant alleged that when she asked him to marry her, he refused. She also came to know that he was already married.
Solan SP Gaurav Singh said that a case under Section 69 (Sexual intercourse by employing deceitful means) and 351 (criminal intimidation) of the BNS had been registered against the accused and an investigation was underway.
