The BJP and its frontal organisations organised a rally to pay tributes to people who were killed in the terrorist attack at Pahalgam in Jammu Kashmir and also burnt an effigy of terrorism at the Gandhi Chowk here yesterday. Business organisations observed a complete bandh against the brutal killing of tourists.

Rajya Sabha MP Sikandar Kumar said that the Union Government would not let terrorists who had killed innocent tourists at Pahalgam go scot-free. He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had stated that a befitting reply would be given to the terrorists and their handlers. The BJP and its frontal organisations would continue to hold protests against terrorism and oppose such inhuman ideology.

MLAs Ashish Sharma (Bilaspur) and Indra Dutt Lakhanpal (Barsar), former MLA Rajender Rana, Kamlesh Kumari, Vijay Agnihotri, BJP district president Rakesh Thakur, district president of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad Sher Singh Thakur, district organisational secretary of the Vidyarthi Parishad Abhilash, Kuldeep Sharma from the Hindu Raksha Manch, Sumit Singh Thakur from the Rajput Sabha along with hundreds of party workers and people from various sections of society participated in the rally.
