BJP misleading people: Rajni Patil

AICC state incharge Rajni Patil today said even as benefits of government schemes failed to reach the masses, BJP leaders, who otherwise did not see eye to eye on several issues, heaped praises on each other at the rally organised to mark two years of the government at the helm yesterday.

In a statement issued here today, she said the rally was nothing more than the BJP leaders patting each other’s back. “The faction-ridden BJP kept praising each other even as people are completely disenchanted with them,” she said.

Patil said the attendance at the rally was also poor except for the beneficiaries of government schemes. “Despite the government having put up LED screens in the district headquarters, there was complete disinterest among people,” she said.

She said just like the Narendra Modi-led BJP regime at the Centre, the Jai Ram government in the state was trying to mislead people.
