Shimla, September 27
The BJP will take out rath yatras in all 68 constituencies to mark the Golden Jubilee of statehood. A Sampark Abhiyan (Mass Contact programme) would be launched to reach out to people and make them aware of the achievements of the governments at the Centre and the state. The rath yatras are scheduled in mid November.
The decision was taken at the meeting of state office-bearers of the party which was also attended by the BJP national vice-president Saudan Singh, chief minister Jai Ram Thakur, party in-charge Avinash Rai Khanna and co-incharge Sanjay Tandon.
The party will also organise Panna Committee Sammelan and Punch Parmeshwar Sammelan to further strengthen the party, said state BJP chief Suresh Kashyap. He said the state BJP has done well and response to Ashirvad Yatra was overwhelming while the tour programme of Union minister Piyush Goel was also a big success.—TNS
