BJP state president Rajeev Bindal today announced that the party has increased its organisational mandals in the state from 74 to 171.

In a statement issued, Bindal said that the party’s national leadership had approved these mandals. This decision follows the formation of a delimitation committee, led by state general secretary Trilok Kapoor, under the guidance of Election Officer and MP Rajeev Bhardwaj.

Bindal said, “The party has expanded its mandals strength from six to 16 in Chamba, from four to 12 in Nurpur, from three to six in Dehra, from 4 to 10 in Palampur, from 4 to nine in Kangra, from four to 12 in Kullu, from five to 13 in Sundernagar, from five to 13 in Mandi, from five to 10 in Hamirpur, from five to 10 in Una, from five to eight in Bilaspur, from five to 13 in Solan, from five to 12 in Sirmaur, from five to 13 in Mahasu, from three to six in Shimla and from three to five in Kinnaur. Lahaul and Spiti will continue to have three mandals.”
