The BJP is poised for a record-breaking membership in the state and Hamirpur district would make a major contribution in this mission. This was stated by Trilok Jamwal, Bilaspur MLA, while addressing a meeting of BJP workers and leaders at a resort here today.

He said over 85,000 persons had been enrolled as members of the BJP in the district so far and the number may cross one lakh as the process of involving more people would be intensified. He said that the first phase of the membership drive would complete on October 15 while the process of selection of active members would start from October 16 for the next 15 days.

Notably, Trilok Jamwal is also incharge of Hamirpur parliamentary affairs of BJP.

Addressing the party functionaries and supporters of the BJP, Jamwal said that active membership across the state and at every booth level of each district would be done aggressively.

Apart from Trilok Jamwal, Deshraj Sharma district president, former MLAs Vijay Agnihotri, Anil Dhiman, Kamlesh Kumari, district general secretary Rakesh Thakur, Ajay Rintu, district vice- president Abhayveer Singh Lovely, secretary Pramila, Hardyal Singh and Chatar Singh were also present on the occasion.
