BJP leader and former minister Rakesh Pathania, who served as the party in-charge for the Jangpura Assembly constituency during the Delhi Assembly elections, where BJP candidate Tarvinder Singh secured a win, received a rousing reception upon his arrival in Fatehpur on Sunday. BJP workers welcomed him with garlands and organised a victory procession in the area. The workers also distributed sweets in Rehan, near Fatehpur.
For over a month, Pathania had been actively campaigning in the Jangpura constituency, where AAP’s prominent leader Manish Sisodia contested. Notably, Pathania also served as the BJP’s campaign in-charge for the Patparganj seat in 2020, where Sisodia won by a narrow margin of just 1,800 votes.
While addressing the workers, Pathania highlighted that BJP had achieved a remarkable victory in Delhi after 27 years, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president JP Nadda. He urged the workers to go door-to-door and educate the people about the public welfare policies and schemes of the Modi government, so that as many individuals as possible could benefit.
