Blood donation camp held

In a tribute to the brave soldiers of Operation Sindoor, Shimla-based NGO Umang Foundation organised a blood donation camp at the iconic Ridge on Sunday. The event saw around 76 units of blood donated, while hundreds of citizens and tourists paid floral tributes at symbolic portraits of the martyrs.

The camp was inaugurated by (Retd) Major General Atul Kaushik and his wife Simmi Kaushik, both of whom also donated blood, setting an inspiring example. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from locals, especially youth and even visiting tourists, who lined up to contribute to the cause. The blood collection was facilitated by a medical team from the IGMC Blood Bank.
