As part of its Samavedna-2 initiative, NIFAA had organised 2,400 blood donation camps across the country on March 23, where a record 1.5 lakh units of blood were donated. The NBDC secured the sixth position nationally by collecting 305 units.

Receiving the award, NBDC president Rajiv Pathania dedicated the honour to the volunteers and team members, stating that the prize money would be spent on social welfare initiatives. Since its inception in December 2015, the club has organised 40 camps, collecting over 6,000 units of blood and has helped provide emergency blood to 5,000 patients across Himachal Pradesh and beyond.
