A delegation of the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS), Himachal Pradesh, led by state president Madan Rana called upon Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur here today and expressed gratitude for ensuring the welfare of

different sections of society and enhancing the wages of daily wage workers.

Addressing the delegation, the CM said the Budget would prove beneficial to every section of society. The minimum wage of unskilled daily wager workers had been raised to Rs 350 per day.

He said the honorarium of Anganwadi workers had been enhanced to Rs 1,700, ASHA workers to Rs 1,825 and SMC teachers to Rs 1,000. Similarly, the honorarium of employees working in various departments had been hiked to Rs 900 per month.
