The DC stressed that illegal mining should not be tolerated under any circumstances and strict action must be taken against offenders as per the law. He directed all authorities to enhance their efforts in preventing illegal mining across the district. The DC urged the officers to work in coordination and strengthen the actions being taken by Sub-Divisional Magistrates to stop illegal mining activities.

As part of the efforts to ensure better monitoring and accountability, the DC also recommended the provision of body-worn cameras and dash cameras for all officials involved in mining inspections, including SDMs, Mining Officers, Inspectors and Guards. These cameras will be funded through the District Mineral Foundation Trust (DMFT) Fund. The cameras will serve as an effective tool for recording any incidents and ensuring transparency in the operations. The move is aimed at preventing any untoward incidents and holding all parties accountable.
