Renowned Bollywood playback singer Mohit Chauhan, who shares a deep and enduring connection with Dharamsala, participated in the celebrations marking the 90th birthday of Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama. The prayers and festivities were held at Tsuglagkhang, the main Tibetan Buddhist temple located in McLeodganj, amidst an atmosphere of peace and reverence.

A former student of Government College Dharamsala, Mohit completed his Master’s in Geology in the early 1990s. It was during these formative years that his musical journey quietly began, strumming his guitar and jamming with local and foreign musicians in the vibrant lanes of Dharamkot — fondly known as Mini Israel — and Bhagsunag, nestled in the lap of the Dhauladhar ranges.
