This prestigious competition, now in its 46th edition, has broken new ground by including women’s categories for the first time. The tournament, previously limited to men’s categories, has provided a platform for female players to showcase their skills nationwide.

HPSEBL Executive Director Isha Thakur expressed her delight at the inclusion of women’s categories, saying, “This provides a wonderful opportunity for our female players to demonstrate their kabbadi skills on a national platform.” Notably, Prafulla and Sakshi, talented players from the Himachal Pradesh Electricity Board, are part of the state’s women’s kabbadi team.
