Miscreants attempted to break open an ATM located outside the Punjab National Bank branch in Rakkar Colony near Una city late last night. While they managed to damage the ATM, they failed to access the cash container inside. According to a press release issued by the police, Branch Manager Anshul Jain reported that the ATM surveillance system flagged the incident at 12.57 am. Jain rushed to the scene, but the culprits had fled by the time he arrived. The police have seized CCTV footage from the ATM and other nearby locations to aid in identifying the miscreants. A case has been registered under Sections 331(4), 305, and 62 of the BNS at the Una police station, the press release stated. Investigations are underway, and the authorities are hopeful of apprehending the culprits soon.
