Broken railings a safety threat

BROKEN railings along the road connecting The Mall Road and the Ridge pose a threat to people’s safety. Besides, these also put a question mark on the beautification project of the state capital of Shimla for which crores of rupees have been spent. What is the point of creating parks, replacing old railings and putting up new lamp posts without maintaining them? The authorities concerned should immediately repair the broken railing in the heart of the town. — Vishal, resident of Shimla

These vendors can be seen sitting on the top floor of the market to sell products like clothes and other items daily. Due to them, commuters crossing the market face inconvenience.
