Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla today issued the notification for the convening of the Budget session of the Vidhan Sabha from March 10.

It is on the recommendation of the Cabinet that the notification has been issued. The budget session will have 15 sittings and will commence with Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla’s address on March 10.

The Vidhan Sabha also issued the notification for the convening of the budget session. Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kuldeep Pathania said that with the issuance of the formal notification, the legislators can now start filing their questions to be raised during the session.

The Chief Minister will present the Budget for 2025-26 on March 17. He said March 22 and 27 have been fixed as Private Members Day when MLAs can raise public issues concerning their constituencies.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
