Cabinet allows Chayan Aayog to declare results of few posts
The Cabinet today gave the go-ahead to the Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog to announce the results of the exams held for Post Codes 903 and 939, while keeping five posts under Post Code 903 and six posts under Post Code 939 pending till the final outcome of the investigation and the court proceedings.
The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.
A Cabinet sub-committee headed by Health Minister Dhani Ram Shandil was constituted for making recommendations for strengthening Rogi Kalyan Samitis in various health institutions of the state. Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh, Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani and Ayush Minister Yadvinder Goma would be the members of the sub-committee.
It also approved the upgrade of the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) in Solan as the apex institution for state-level school and teacher training, aiming to enhance academic research and improve the quality of education. Besides, the Cabinet decided to strengthen 12 District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) to ensure professional development of teachers.
It also decided to extend the benefits of Dr Yashwant Singh Parmar Rin Yojana to eligible meritorious students aspiring to pursue professional and vocational courses in educational institutions abroad. Under the scheme, the state government offers educational loans at an interest rate of 1 per cent.
The Cabinet also approved the setting up of 50-bed critical care blocks at the Civil Hospital at Dehra in Kangra district and the Civil Hospital at Paonta Sahib in Sirmaur district, equipping them with modern care facilities. It was also decided to establish the offices of the Superintending Engineer of HP State Electricity Board Ltd (HPSEBL) and the Block Medical Officer at Dehra.
The Cabinet also decided to fill 100 vacant posts of Assistant Forest Guard in the Forest Department, 33 posts in the Printing and Stationary Department, 10 in the office of Advocate General and six of Medical Officer (Dental) in ESI health institutions at Shoghi in Shimla district and Kasauli, Jabli, Barotiwala, Nalagarh and Baddi in Solan district.
The Cabinet decided to open a new police station with 18 posts at Sissu in Lahaul and Spiti district. It gave approval for providing six mobile forensic vans to the Forensics Services Department to enhance its operational capabilities.
