Shimla, March 2
The Cabinet that met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu here today approved the Excise Policy for 2024-25 allowing auction-cum-tender to generate revenue.
New PWD division for Nadaun approved
- The Cabinet gave nod to transferring the Mamligh section of the PWD in Arki to Solan PWD division. It decided to open a new PWD division at Nadaun and a subdivision at Bijhari in the Barsar Assembly segment of Hamirpur district
- Additionally, it also decided to open a new PWD division at Haroli in Una and the upgrade of Pragpur sub-tehsil in Kangra district to a tehsil
- It gave nod to opening a Subdivisional Police Office at Dharampur in Mandi district, police post at Ladraur under Bhoranj police station in Hamirpur and the upgrade of the Manikaran police post to a police station
- It approved the upgrade of district-level Chhinj Salyana, Mela Lidbar of Kangra, Haroli Utsav of Una district and Ghumarwin Grishmotsav of Bilaspur district as state-level fairs
- It gave nod to upgrading the status of the Holi Fair at Jaisinghpur, Ajmer (Bharari) Grishmotsav in Bilaspur, Sangla Holi Utsav and the Gangath Qaru Maharaj Mela as district-level fairs
The Cabinet gave approval to engaging 1,000 multi-task workers in the Animal Husbandry Department to support veterinary officers. It gave nod to including more areas falling under Mashobra and Beolia gram panchayats under the ambit of the Shimla Municipal Corporation to provide better facilities to local residents. It also gave approval to the proposal for the upgrade of the 50-bed Civil Hospital at Haroli in Una district to a 100-bed facility. It also allowed the upgrade of the Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Gumma in Shimla district to a Community Health Centre, opening of a health sub-centre at Kandi in Kota Pab gram panchayat in Sirmaur district and a PHC at Baliwal in Una district.
The Cabinet gave nod to filling 30 posts of JOA (IT) in the Public Works Department (PWD) and four posts in its architect wing. Approval was given for the regularisation of the services of 46 eligible teachers engaged under the PTA policy. It also decided to purchase 10 food safety vehicles and hire the services of 10 food analysts, 10 attendants and 10 drivers in the Health Department.
The Cabinet decided to open divisions of the Jal Shakti Department at Jwalamukhi, Jaisinghpur and Palampur in Kangra district and shift the division from Dalhousie to Chowari in Chamba district. It gave nod to restructuring of Kasumpti, Sunni, Nerwa and Matiana divisions of the Jal Shakti Department in Shimla.
