CBSE hosts capacity-building workshop on NEP
In a bid to equip teachers with the basics of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) organised a one-day workshop on capacity-building at Pinegrove School, Subathu.
The workshop — which witnessed participation of 58 teachers from five schools — concluded successfully. It familiarised the educators with the key principles and implementation strategies of NEP 2020, aimed at enhancing the Indian education system. The resource persons, Ravi Sharma from Army Public School, Dagshai, and Harpreet Singh from DAV Model School, Chandigarh, sought active participation of the educators through a series of interactive sessions, presentations and group discussions.
The workshop focused on the salient features of NEP 2020, including competency-based learning, integration of vocational education, modern assessment strategies, and the use of AI tools to upgrade classroom teaching. Participants gained valuable insights into innovative teaching methodologies and the importance of experiential learning. The workshop proved to be a valuable platform for professional growth, equipping teachers with the necessary tools to implement the education policy effectively.
Concluding on a positive note, the event left participants motivated to bring about progressive changes in their classrooms, ensuring holistic development and enhanced learning outcomes for students.
