Prof Sat Prakash Bansal, Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP), Dharamsala, received the International Award for Excellence in Teaching and Academic Contributions-2025 at the International Academy of Business (IAB) Annual Conference held virtually in Washington, DC. The award recognises his decades-long commitment to education, research, leadership and global academic collaboration.
Dr Suman Sharma, Director, Public Relations, told The Tribune, “Guided by the Bhagavad Gita’s principle that difficult paths yield the most meaningful results, Dr Bansal has earned a reputation as an institution builder. At CUHP, he has played a pivotal role in implementing the National Education Policy, 2020, promoting Indian knowledge systems, expanding global partnerships and advancing the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. Under his leadership, key international MoUs were signed with institutions in the United States and Nepal.”
His earlier tenures also saw significant international collaborations across Europe, Russia and Asia, strengthening India’s global academic presence. With an academic career spanning more than three decades and marked by numerous national and international honours, this latest award stands as an acknowledgment of his visionary contributions and his dedication to elevating India’s higher education landscape.
