Kejri once exposed corruption in Congress
Kejriwal started his political career by exposing corruption in the Congress, took a pledge that he would never enter politics and his party would not join hands with the Congress. However, now he has embraced the Congress. He is a big liar. — Anurag Thakur, Union minister
Anurag, while interacting with mediapersons at Dehra in Kangra, said, “The Central Government has already implemented the Swaminathan committee report, which has recommended the cost plus 50 per cent profit for farmers. The price of sugarcane has been raised from Rs 315 to Rs 340 per quintal. The MSP on various crops has doubled in the past 10 years. During the Congress rule, Rs 5.5 lakh crore was spent on paying the MSP on crops was, while during the Modi government this amount has increased to over Rs 18 lakh crore.”
Anurag said, “During the Congress rule, only a nominal amount was spent on irrigation schemes, whereas the Central Government has provided Rs 15,000 crore. There was no Kisan Samman Nidhi during the Congress rule while the Modi government has given Rs 2.81 lakh crore to 12 crore farmers in the past five years. Fertiliser and urea were not available during the Congress regime, whereas these had never been in shortage during the BJP rule. Our government gave a subsidy of Rs 3 lakh crore on fertiliser and urea last year.”
He listened to the Prime Minister’s “Mann Ki Baat” radio programme with party workers at Dehra. He later attended a Tridev Sammelan and interacted with booth guardians and booth presidents and discussed with them strategies for the upcoming elections.

India has now become the fifth largest economy of the world, 25 crore poor people have been taken out of poverty, while four crore permanent houses and 12 crore toilets have been built. LPG cylinders have been provided to 10 crore households and 13 crore houses have been built for the poor. Modi has also given a guarantee of providing tap water to 60 crore people, free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh to 60 crore people under the Ayushman Bharat yojana and free foodgrains to 80 crore people for the next five years.”
