A district-level event marking the 15th National Voters’ Day was held at the historic Akhand Chandi Palace’s Darbar Hall in Chamba. The event, themed “Nothing Like Voting, I Vote for Sure,” was chaired by Mukesh Repaswal, Deputy Commissioner and District Electoral Officer.

Addressing the gathering, Repaswal extended best wishes to the people of Chamba on both National Voter’s Day and Himachal Pradesh’s Statehood Day. He urged young people, particularly future voters, to understand the importance of voting and to always exercise their right to vote. He stressed casting votes based on merit is crucial for the region’s development and urged the youth to seek guidance from their parents on this important civic duty.

Repaswal also highlighted the upcoming elections for Panchayati Raj institutions and local bodies, urging all voters, including young people, to actively participate in these elections. He reminded those turning 18 to ensure their names are added to the voter list, allowing them to become part of the vital electoral process.
