Chairing a comprehensive review meeting with revenue officers at Dalhousie, the Deputy Commissioner emphasised the need for priority-based disposal of cases across all tehsils. He underlined that timely resolution not only upholds administrative efficiency but also strengthens public trust in the revenue system.

A detailed discussion was held on the backlog of various categories of revenue cases. Repaswal instructed officials to address each pending matter with diligence and to ensure the effective implementation of government schemes and welfare programmes, especially for eligible and marginalised beneficiaries.

Taking note of public grievances, the DC instructed all Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) to remain proactive and responsive in addressing citizens’ concerns. He also reviewed progress in crucial areas such as land demarcation disputes, illegal encroachments, mutation entries and jamabandi updates.

Additional focus was placed on the construction and repair of revenue buildings, the ongoing rollout of the e-District project and the redress of complaints received via the CM Seva Sankalp Helpline (Dial 1100).

Repaswal also assessed the status of Forest Rights Act (FRA) claims in the tribal regions of Bharmour and Pangi and called for expedited processing of genuine cases. Other key issues reviewed included Aadhaar seeding, which is crucial for streamlining beneficiary databases and concerns related to illegal mining activities.

With the monsoon season underway, the DC also held an in-depth review of disaster preparedness measures across the district. He instructed all SDMs and revenue functionaries to remain on high alert and ensure a state of readiness to respond to any emergent situations, particularly in vulnerable areas.

The meeting was conducted by District Revenue Officer Vikramjit Singh and saw the participation of ADM Amit Mehra, Bharmour ADM Kulbir Singh Rana, Chamba SDM Priyanshu Khati, Bhattiyat SDM Paras Aggrawal, Dalhousie SDM Anil Bhardwaj, DFO Rajneesh Mahajan and all tehsildars and naib tehsildars from across the district.
