Chamba DC tells teachers to adopt effective teaching style
Chamba Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repaswal conducted an inspection at the Government Central Primary School, Palyoor, on Tuesday.
Repaswal conducted a detailed review of the facilities provided to students and the teaching methods being used. He also issued instructions to teachers and the School Management Committee (SMC) to ensure qualitative improvements in education.
Additionally, he assessed the students’ learning levels, which he found to be satisfactory.
The Deputy Commissioner encouraged teachers to continuously enhance the quality of education and adopt simple yet effective teaching methods to help students understand concepts better.
He instructed the teachers to check students’ notebooks daily and introduce a new word every day, along with a sentence, for pupils to learn and write. A separate notebook should be maintained for this purpose.
Furthermore, he emphasized that special efforts must be made to improve students’ understanding of the English language.
During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner also evaluated students’ intellectual proficiency in Hindi and mathematics and provided necessary guidelines for improvement.
He instructed the SMC chairperson and members to regularly monitor the quality of education and ensure teachers’ presence in the school. Furthermore, he announced that he would revisit the school in three months to review the progress based on the directives given.
Additionally, Repaswal inspected the mid-day meal, school building and playground, expressing satisfaction with their conditions.
Notably, he visits a school in Chamba district every Tuesday to review facilities and interact directly with students.
