Chamba Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repaswal on Tuesday honoured players who excelled at state-level ‘Spirit of Himachal’ inter-school karate championship and the Senior State Karate Championship-2025, organised by the Karate Association of

Himachal Pradesh. The players were felicitated with medals and certificates of appreciation.

The championship was held from November 15 to 16, at Maharaja Palace, Baijnath, in Kangra district. A contingent of 19 players from the Chamba Karate Association participated in the event, including eight in the senior category, seven in sub-junior and four in the junior category.

Demonstrating remarkable skill and competitive spirit, Chamba’s karatekas bagged a total of 18 gold, four silver and two bronze medals. Among them, eight senior, four junior and six sub-junior gold medallists secured a place in the upcoming national-level karate championships.

Congratulating the winners, their coaches and the Chamba Karate Association, DC Repaswal extended his best wishes for their performance at the national stage, expressing confidence that they would continue to bring laurels to the district and the state.
