Due to the ongoing construction work of the Kiratpur-Manali four-lane in the region, the Pandoh area is witnessing frequent landslides  during rains.

The National Highway Authority of India has engaged its workforce and machinery in the area to clear the highway.

Police have diverted traffic of light vehicles via Kataula road between Mandi and Kullu. While heavy vehicles are stuck on both sides of the landslide spot in the area as the alternative route between Mandi and Kullu via Kataula is narrow and steep, which is unfit for the movement of heavy vehicles.
