The Chandigarh-Manali highway was restored to traffic this morning after remaining closed for nine hours following a massive landslide triggered by heavy rain. The highway, which connects Mandi and Pandoh, experienced traffic disruption following a landslide near 9 Mile around 1 am.

The landslide triggered by intense rainfall in the region blocked the highway completely. Besides, a car was reportedly stuck in the landslide debris. However, no one was injured in the incident.

Emergency response teams, including the local police and the workforce of the National Highways Authority of India, worked tirelessly to clear the debris and make the road safe for travel. The highway was reopened around 9.30 a.m, allowing traffic to resume.
