Shimla, March 7
With the petition of the six disqualified Congress MLAs yet to be taken up by the Supreme Court, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu today hinted at forgiving them and opening the party doors for them.
The CM today said if somebody realises his mistake, then he should be forgiven. “If somebody realises his mistake, then things can always be sorted out by sitting across the table,” he remarked in reply to a query about channels being open for the six disqualified MLAs, who cross-voted in the Rajya Sabha elections.

Sukhu today left for Delhi for the first time after the revolt by party legislators. He is expected to meet Congress president Mallikarjun Kharga, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi during his visit. He will apprise the high command of the political events of the past few days. There has been speculation about some of the rebel MLAs wanting to return to the party fold.
PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh also met Sukhu at his official residence. The two had a one-to-one meeting and later drove together for the Cabinet meeting at the secretariat.
Vikramaditya is learnt to have apprised the CM about his talks with the six rebels and his meeting with Priyanka Gandhi and other Central leaders. Vikramaditya also left for Delhi to meet Union Minister Nitin Gadkari to hold talks regarding pending projects.
