Chief Minister inaugurates Rs 11-cr projects in Rampur

Shimla, July 22

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur inaugurated developmental projects worth Rs 11 crore in the Rampur Assembly constituency of Shimla district through video-conferencing here on Tuesday.

Thakur inaugurated the commerce block of Degree College, Rampur, constructed at a cost of Rs 2.44 crore, the building of the Primary Health Centre at Phancha built at a cost of Rs 90.79 lakh, and a Rs 85.08-lakh gravity water supply scheme at Kungal Balti gram panchayat, which would benefit about 870 people of four habitations.

He also inaugurated the Rs 1.55-crore Khakrola Flow Irrigation Scheme at Shingala gram panchayat to irrigate about 60.15 hectares and a Rs 5.30-crore multi-storeyed car parking at the Indira Market Phase-I in Ward No. 3 of the Nagar Parishad, Rampur, which could accommodate 80 vehicles.

The CM said that these projects would usher in a new era of progress and prosperity in Rampur. He said that the government was ensuring that the pace of development did not suffer due to the pandemic.
