Chief Minister interacts with kids at Balika Ashram in Killar

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today visited Balika Ashram at Killar in Pangi valley of Chamba and interacted with children living there. He inspected classrooms and living rooms of the ashram and gave necessary instructions to officials for their maintenance. “The state government has enacted a law and adopted all orphan children as “Children of the State”. The responsibility of their education and care lies with the Himachal government.”

He sought information from girls living at Balika Ashram about facilities being provided to them. The Chief Minister announced an amount of Rs 5,000 for each girl of the ashram. He said children would be sent to an exposure visit soon.

Yesterday evening, the Chief Minister visited Eklavya School at Killar and interacted with children there.
