Sewerage pipes leaking
Sewerage lines on the Khara Danda road are leaking at many points. At places, the road is clogged with dirty water leaking from sewerage pipes. It has become difficult for people to walk on the road. The problem has aggravated during the monsoon. The IPH Department that maintains the sewerage systems in the city should take note of the complaints of the people, and take an action at the earliest. The officials given the charge of maintaining these pipes should be held accountable, so that the people living near the road, in Dharamsala, do not suffer. — Prem Kumar, Dharamsala
Haripur-Dehra road in bad shape
The Haripur-Dehra road is in a bad shape, and has become unfit for plying vehicles, especially two-wheelers. The Public Works Department (PWD) has turned a blind eye to this road, which has become an eyesore for the commuters. The residents are feeling neglected by the state. Several appeals to the authorities concerned have failed to bring any fruitful result. The road is full of potholes, but a small stretch at Haripur town has started turning into a khud. The state government and the PWD should immediately address the problem. – Satish Chowdhary, Masroor, Dehra
