READERS SAY

Chaos-free roads a delight with photograph

Sometimes, ominous things also lead to good results, maybe temporarily, Shimlaites complaining of traffic congestion, pollution and erratic civic services were happy on Sunday as there was no disturbance or any other activity due to Janata Curfew. The main markets, temples, institutions and other places wore a deserted look, but the people took pride in making Janata Curfew a success. It was a different atmosphere altogether. Such restrictions should be imposed periodically by the administration to inculcate a sense of discipline and maintaining calm. –Bharti, Shimla
